Our relationship began with both of us treading water…. Literally. We met in college while attending FAU (Go Owls! Hooty Hoot!) during Rowan’s freshman year and Reno’s sophomore year. After a couple of practices, Reno suggested we practice together with the clear intention of getting to know each other outside of the pool as well. One night after Rowan drove Reno home following an FAU football game, he declared “I’m going to marry this girl” through a text with a mutual friend.

Practices became lunches in “The caf” and those developed into frequent hang outs that nearly lead to Reno failing Spanish 1. After weeks of bonding over Taco Bell, and Reno not making a move, Rowan declared we were dating and it was decided our anniversary was going to be December 8th, because according to her, the number 7 is unlucky. From there our love for each other developed along with our love for music as we explored our first festival together in March 2016, Okeechobee Music Festival. Much like fireworks lit up the sky during incredible musical acts, fireworks exploded in our hearts for one another. Over 9 years later and we are here before you to take the next step in life together.
